“Growing up Online” School and Social Networks

Many may adults think that we teens depend on the internet to much. That we are to dependant on the internet that we will not be able to function in the real world. Some say that we email to much, IM to much, Text on our cell phones. The thing is that the world is evolving to work with Social netorks such as Myspace and Facebook, Texting, and IMing. Mostly and company you know you can find them on line with website, Wikispace, or a blog. So pretty soon everything will be done threw the internet. From personal experience I don’t depend on the internet, or my cellphone that much. When I get home I go to my computer to do homework, or post something to my blog. I hardly ever play games online, I will spend 2 hour @ most on myspace, facebook, and bebo a day. Even when I get bored I don’t head for my computer I’ll read, draw, go hang with friends, ride my bike, and stuff like that.

Adults may think that myspace is bad. all of the things you hear about myspace are from bad cituations. most teens will have a myspace or a facebook to talk to their friends, or family. From personal experience the internet is not that bad. Class is alot more fun I think that us teens have a better understanding of history science threw the internet.

“To see how the youth of the 21st century is completly wasting their valuable time with myspace.com, facebook, instant messanging and cell phones is just insanity! Instead of leaving school to study their subjects, do homework, read or anything to the point of actually educuating themselves they instead turn to the internet for entertainment. I think we sometimes feel that we need for instance myspace.com, in our lives in some ways in order to feel adaquate about ourselves. I do have to admit that I fall victim to the devious ways of the internt. I find myself soemtimes wasting my time just as the people in your program do every day. I think there needs to be a very big awakening to the youth and they need to see that there is more to life than facebook. I also find is sickening that anyone can find ANYTHING they want on the internt. The fact that there are websites that support anorexic and suicides is horrendous! That young people are looking this information up instead of facts about their constitutional rights is unreal. Parents need to start educuating their children and shake reality into their heads!
